Finally,we can drink Coke!

We’ve been really thirsty lately around my house! I refuse to buy soda for more than $2 a 12 pack.. and lately the prices seem to just get larger as the packs are reduced to 8 packs!

Thankfully, CVS and the ECB program are coming to my rescue. I’ll be getting my 12 packs for only $1 each!!!

Here’s my plan for today.. broken down into 3 transactions.

Transaction #1

2 Adidas Action 3 deodorant 3.99 x2=7.98 EARN 6 ECBย  (-2 $1 off coupons from a recent insert and -4 ECB’s on hand from last week) = 1.98 cash needed.

Transaction #2

3 Kellogg’s Cereal $10 EARN 5 ECB (– 3 $1 off PRINTABLE coupons, – 6 ECB’s from Transaction #1)= 1.00 cash needed

Transaction #3

5 Coke 12 packs $20 EARN 10 ECB (– 5 $1 off My coke Rewards coupons, – 5 ECB from Transaction #2) = 10.00 cash needed

I will be spending $12.98 in cash.. yeah, I know seems kinda high…

but leaving the store with 10 ECB= 2.98 OOP for all of that!

UPDATE: I ended up only doing 2 transactions.. the Coke first and then the rest. Ended up with 11 ECB’s. ๐Ÿ™‚

Not much to tell

I don’t know what it is, but I’m just not getting thrilled about any CVS/Walgreens deal lately. I can’t wait for some great ECB offers.

Seems like there are some good deals coming up soon on Easter stuff… but we don’t do the whole Easter basket thing in my house anymore (what do bunnies laying eggs have to do with Jesus dying on the cross anyway??).ย ย  But here’s a sneak peak at next week’s ad anyway:Sneak Peak

I am happy to report that I earned another 10 FREE ECB’s for completing a CVS Advisor Survey a few weeks ago, so that will come in handy on some of my basic needs this week like toilet paper. ๐Ÿ™‚

I did run to Publix this week on Monday… but didn’t have any super good buys worth mentioning. I’m still maintaining my under $50/week grocery budget, but my kids are starting to get bored with the Frosted Flakes and Granola Bars that areย  still stuffing my stockpile!

Anyway.. sorry I didn’t have much to say today.. I’ve been busy working on my business website this week. I finally started a business blog today… I don’t know why I never did it before!!! Check it out if you’re interested in photography and you live in the N. Florida area. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a nice week!

Smart Shopping

Being a smart shopper even pays during a crisis! Today my daughter pulled a muscle in her neck (long story).. and after a trip to the doctor we needed to run by CVS to pick up some IcyHot.

Now… IcyHot is not something I am stocked up on… as a matter of fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen a “deal” on icehot before.

Luckily.. prior to going to the doctor’s office, I checked my mailbox.

Inside my mailbox was a Crest coupon postcard for $3 off Crest ProHealth Rinse or toothpaste. Apparently I had signed up for their special offers here awhile ago.

I just so happened to bring it with me as we went to the doctors.

Then, on our way home, we stopped at CVS… I bought my Crest Pro Health whitening toothhpaste…which was on sale for $3.49 used my $3 coupon.. and out printed my 3.49 ECB. ๐Ÿ™‚ I paid .74 OOP with tax… and was able to use that 3.49 ECB along with a 1 ECB from yesterday to buy the IcyHot for a new OOP total of .50 ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Not bad for an “emergency trip” that normally would have cost me 5 bucks. ๐Ÿ™‚

Being a smart shop really pays… it’s really nice to know I can provide for my child when she’s sick without cringing at the checkout.
