Proverbs 31:10-12 (The Message Translation) says, “A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds, Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long”
As a Christian woman, I am really trying to live up to this verse as much as possible. I have always been in charge of the finances in our home, even while being a stay at home mother for the past 13 years, but until recently, I never really thought about how my efforts with running the household are worth “far more than diamonds” to my husband and children. I have set out on a mission to make the most of the money my husband brings into the home, and also honor the Lord with that money at the same time. I have yet to learn to live up to the entire poem in Proverbs 31 in this day and age, but I will do my best at working with what I have to bring respect to my husband and praise to my God!
This blog is a place where I will share with others about how to wisely shop and provide for my family using coupons, rebates, and planned efficient shopping! I was thrilled to discover many blogs on this subject and will be sharing links from those other helpful sites soon!
If I can “assist anyone in need” (Proverbs 31: 20) by writing about how I’m finding ways to save money then having this blog will be worth the time and effort. I look forward to sharing with you and hopefully to hearing how you’re saving as well!
I also have another blog; The Open Bench that I use as a place to share my spiritual growth with other women who have painful pasts. If you are interested in learning more “about me” on a deeper level… come join me there!
